Position Overview

This position reports to the Regional Manager or Vice President. The Managing Director is responsible for the development and performance of all sales and business activities in assigned market. The Managing Director staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and develops and executes training and educational programs for employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a business plan and subsequent sales/recruiting strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales and goals and profitability.
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of Account Managers, Recruiters and office staff.
  • Plan and implement sales and customer acquisition, retention and development plan for defined market.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Oversees the creation and presentation of proposals and RFP responses to ensure timely, accurate and competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and activities.
  • Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Managers and Recruiters to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systems.
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
  • Understand all Randstad Technologies service offerings and mission and be able to effectively articulate to internal employees, customers and prospects.
  • Stay abreast of current market trends and prevailing new technology.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
