Claims Manager- Workers Compensation - 28320

Full Time Associate
On-Site

Direct responsibility for management of workers’ compensation claims. This position will assist in the daily reporting, managing, investigating, strategy and closing an assigned caseload of workers’ compensation claims for the organization. This will include interaction with other members of the claims team, Third Party Administrator (TPA) adjusters, attorneys and several vendors selected to assist with our claims handling process. Responsibilities may also include miscellaneous projects as assigned to improve the efficiency of the team. Ability to demonstrate strategic leadership when directing adjusters and attorneys is necessary. Provides administrative/analytical support; provides operational support; exhibits strong technical skills; provides some leadership and development of peers. Ability to work independently and come up with recommendations to reach department and company goals. Participate in brainstorming sessions to ensure that department objectives are met. Must be proactive when it comes to taking on additional department responsibilities.

Education & Qualifications (Required): 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Undergraduate college degree preferred or equivalent years exp.
  • Minimum of 10+ years verifiable experience working in a fast paced, customer service oriented, team based environment.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years verifiable experience handling claims, insurance, or risk management and verifiable workers’ compensation experience is also required for this position.
