The Division Manager is the business manager responsible for the units in a specific division. The Division Manager role is intended for Consultants who have demonstrated both their technical skills and their leadership potential.  The purpose of the position is to provide support and guidance to all division members through training and coaching; while allowing the Division Manager to gain further leadership experience.  Division Managers are unit members, working alongside Consultants and doing many of the same functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of annual budget including temp revenue, perm revenue and GM targets
  • Shared responsibilities with the leader on the profitability of the branch
  • Operational Essentials are applied thoroughly and consistently by all units and 80% of all Risk Management Factors result in a Good rating
  • 80% of division members are at meet expectations level or better in their performance evaluations
  • Ensure that sales and service effectiveness are optimized through the systematic and ongoing management of Consultant productivity and service delivery 
  • Ongoing coaching and development of both new and tenured Consultants
  • Promoting and acting at all times in a manner consistent with Randstad’s Group core values of “to Know, to Serve, and to Trust”, “Simultaneous promotion of all interests” and “Striving for perfection” and ensuring that all members of the division do the same
  • Actively participate in client retention and client share growth within key customers
  • Communicate and execute marketing plans and campaigns effectively within division
  • Design, execute and evaluate recruiting strategy to ensure expenditures within budget guidelines and recruiting levels sufficient to support divisional order volume
  • Drive new business development both by supporting sales activities of division members as well as with own sales efforts 
  • Together with your leader, execute the management portion of the New Hire Training program to new Consultants in the division
  • Together with your leader, conduct performance evaluations for new Consultants as per our Company policy
  • Provide new Consultant with sufficient support, coaching and structure to ensure Operational Essentials competencies are mastered within the appropriate timeframe
  • Engage in real time coaching sessions with division members to debrief on sales visits, support order management and assist in problem solving
  • Ensure divisional service delivery is consistent with Operational Essentials
  • Review aging with division on weekly basis and work with A/R department
  • Ensure payroll and billing information is submitted accurately and on time
  • Attend and participate in management meetings involving short and long term strategies for Randstad’s growth and profitability and seminars on issues related to division member development and team-based leadership

Education & Experience:

  • At least 12 months’ experience in a Staffing Consultant role within Randstad OR 2 or more years’ experience in a management position with direct responsibility for results and people development  
  • Successful completion of post-secondary education required, preferably in a related field  
  • Hold a track record of demonstrated sales targets and recruiting success
  • Team leader

  • Ability to provide strategies/coaching to the team to succeed
