The Professional Services Director (PSD) has primary responsibility for establishing segment and market leadership in their region.  Leadership is measured by the continuity of operations of the Randstad Professional Talent Solutions division, established through profitable growth.

The PSD contributes significantly to the strategic direction of Randstad.  The PSD plays a crucial role in the future success of the company by assuming all day-to-day operational responsibilities in their region, driving differentiation and sustainability. The PSD is responsible for leading revenue and profitability growth by applying Randstad's mission, vision and guiding principles to an operational plan for the region, and setting Randstad's cultural standard for actions aligned with our corporate values.

More specifically, the Professional Services Director will be responsible for:

  • Meet or exceed monthly/annual revenue projections
  • Ensure that financial objectives are achieved, both in terms of personal production and that of the team (position of Billing Manager)
  • Provide mentoring and supervise the professional development of teams 
  • Coach each team member to reach their maximum skills and coordinate progressive skill development and cross-training of employees
  • Build a sustainable succession plan to guarantee and prepare for future growth
  • Implement, monitor and control key performance indicators
  • Measure and reward team production results and sales activities
  • Measure and reward margin levels and new customer acquisitions
  • Continuously contribute to the company's profitability and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives
  • Monitor the overall performance of the region in financial terms, market share, public image, industry positioning, as directed by the President, Vice President or Regional Director
  • Create and maintain a positive corporate culture that supports employee and management participation and innovation, in addition to financial and professional success in the marketplace
  • Meet regularly with employees to ensure effective communication of the company's vision
  • Create growth plans and market strategies for each business unit and business segment

Education and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience AND demonstrated success in managing and influencing people
  • College diploma required - a university degree in a related field is a definite asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Results-oriented – ability to get things done
  • Effective recruiter – recruits excellent people!
  • Ability to develop salespeople
  • Computer skills
