how you will contribute

As Vice President National Sales, you will directly fuel Randstad’s growth by securing and expanding high-value partnerships with our largest clients. You will drive complex, consultative sales cycles, craft tailored workforce solutions, and position Randstad as the go-to strategic partner. 

your typical day includes

A typical day involves generating new business through prospecting, identifying and qualifying prospects, securing meetings with senior decision makers, presenting customized staffing solutions, and leading the full sales cycle - from strategy and negotiation to ensuring successful implementation and ongoing collaboration with internal teams. 

your responsibilities include

  • Drive new business development and close opportunities within the commercial staffing industry by identifying, qualifying and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Analyze client business needs and deliver consultative, customized staffing solutions that align with their strategic goals
  • Lead sales efforts by securing and conducting meetings C-level and senior decision makers across Procurement, Operations, and Human Resources. 
  • Direct enterprise-level sales activities, including pursuit strategy, internal resource coordination, formal presentations, contract negotiations, and RFP completion. 
  • Collaborate with account management teams to ensure successful implementation of all business sold. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and performance metrics using sales tools and systems. 
  • Travel approximately 25% within the U.S. to meet with clients and drive business growth. 

your background

  • 4-year college degree (preferably business related), advanced degree or comparable work experience a plus.
  • 7 years proven performance in outside national and/or strategic sales.
  • Must have sales experience in the staffing industry, preferably Professional Services. 

key capabilities

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding gross margin targets. 
  • Self-starter with experience targeting mid-large-sized companies, focused on securing and closing new opportunities in sales, marketing, legal, administrative, clerical, or call center staff augmentation. 
  • Strategic thinker who can manage long sales cycles while staying task driven and goal oriented. 

key relationships

  • Prospective and existing C-level and senior management clients, including Procurement, Operations, and Human Resources leaders. 
  • Internal sales leadership and account management teams to ensure seamless client delivery and retention. 

your competencies

  • Proven success selling multiple service lines across various geographic markets. 
  • Strong negotiation skills - balancing assertiveness with empathy to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Formal sales training preferred (Sandler methodology or similar). 
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive, performance driven environment. 
  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Calendar, and Shared Drives).
