The primary objective of the TAT Managing Partner is driving profitable growth of their assigned vertical through continuously increasing Tatum’s market share in their area. The successful Managing Director leads a team of professionals in business development, recruitment, order management, and excellent client service for interim and project based accounting and finance roles. The Managing Director will manage P&L and prospect budget; prospect sales, client relationships, account management, team performance management and development. They will demonstrate financial and general management skills by growing a profitable segment of business through people leadership and analysis of key business indicators.

- Responsible for managing all aspects of the team, driving productivity and profitability
- Oversee staff, ensuring that they are appropriately equipped with the knowledge, training and tools to effectively execute their jobs.
- Lead, engage, develop and grow account teams, holding others accountable, having coaching conversations, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring Individual Development Plans are in place.

- Business Development:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and executing a local sales strategy that aligns with the vertical concept for that market.
- Generate GP in personal production. Responsible for selling segment orders within the market.
- Responsible for meeting revenue, gross margin, and other financial objectives
- Build client relationships, positioning Tatum as an industry leader and growing the business through new client acquisition and increase of market share.
- Network within the community and existing talent to build business and stay abreast of industry/market trends and opportunities.
- Foster strategic alliances and build collaborative relationships with internal leaders and other LOBs for cross selling opportunities
- Maintain sales and service KPIs at defined standards and responsible for accurate completion of all required reports and activity tracking to achieve KPIs on a timely basis
- Recruit & Talent Development:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and executing a local talent strategy that aligns with vertical concept for that market.
- Leverage multiple channels to proactively seek active and passive talent while embracing new tools and strategies to attract the best talent.
- Understand the client’s talent needs and make the match between the client’s needs and the talents’’ skills and experience.
- Understand the market and manage relationships with current clients to identify future needs and provide thought leadership to assist in their daily operations.
- Make decisions regarding hiring, placement, and discipline of talent.
- Support client operations by providing top quality service and promptly investigate any talent issues or client concerns. Negotiate pay and bill rates.
- Consistent ongoing interaction with placed Talent to ensure satisfaction with the position and identify additional opportunities with clients and/or future redeployment or placement opportunities for talent.
- Using all available tools and technology proactively and consistently.
What you need to bring:
- High School or GED Required
- 4 yr/Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Business, CPA/MBA or related field preferred
- 15 yrs Experience in business-to-business sales preferably within professional services, consulting or Finance & Accounting staffing
- 6 yrs People management and demonstrated success driving business results; P&L management required
- Knowledge of how to anticipate and adopt innovations in business-building digital and technology applications, and social media
- Charismatic leader able to effectively motivate and influence constituents and colleagues
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset are a must
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
- Demonstrate the ability to identify customers and to deliver, decline, or adjust expectations
- Must be innovative in approach, willing to take risks and operate successfully in ambiguous situations
- Ability to present business reviews and workforce strategies to client groups
- Must be comfortable presenting to and influencing C level management
- Unsurpassed level of professionalism and ability to communicate to all levels
- Strong leadership, decision making and motivational skills required to grow and develop business and people in tandem
- Must be self-motivated and driven by the need to be successful
- Ability to generate new business in order to execute sales targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex client situations in an effective manner
- Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
