Position Objective

The HRIS Analyst, Rewards will be an integral part of the Total Rewards and HR teams, responsible for reporting, ongoing projects, management, and maintenance of our HRIS system, configuration, system upgrades, and testing. This role will also serve as the liaison with the Information Technology (IT) department in the development and maintenance of compensation and benefits related initiatives, including backlog and enhancement reviews. Manage the integrity of all benefit and compensation related systems and data by leading vendor relationships, overseeing complex vendor interface file exchanges, and driving the swift resolution of data discrepancies to ensure seamless system synchronization.

Key Competencies and Responsibilities

  • Vendor Management: Controls, monitors, and accounts for all interfaces with third-party vendors, ensuring accuracy and business continuance. This includes comprehensive knowledge of all file layout, requirements, and logic used in these data exchanges. Develops strategies to ensure data integrity and ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws. Works directly with all vendor contacts to ensure sound plan operations.
  • Data Integrity and Analysis: Maintains data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data, in a complex rewards program environment. Performs HRIS related research and analysis of benefit, compensation, and HR issues, applying technical knowledge and expertise with benefits and compensation plans and processes.
  • Reporting: Designs, develops, and runs informational query reports using various reporting tools (e.g., SQL, PeopleSoft Query) to meet the evolving requirements of the Benefits, Compensation, and HR management teams. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to define reporting needs and validate data integrity. Additionally, the role assists in administrating the HRIS mailbox and promptly responding to all Line of Business (LOB) reporting requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that inquiries are addressed efficiently, maintaining clear communication channels with relevant stakeholders, and providing necessary support to meet business needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Manages the full lifecycle of Quality Assurance, including the development and documentation of comprehensive system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios (including complex use cases) and meticulously validating results against business requirements to ensure thorough coverage and seamless system functionality for all enhancements and releases.
  • Troubleshooting and Support (Incident Command): Responsible for managing benefit error reports, correcting any errors in PeopleSoft on an ongoing basis, and resolving product support issues. Assists with new system implementations, enhancements, and conversions.

Required Technical and Education Qualifications

  • An IT or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of professional services experience in PeopleSoft HRMS
  • Advanced level experience in Oracle SQL is required
  • 1+ years of database administrator experience preferred

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate technical details to a non-technical audience (i.e. users, vendors, management, colleagues) and produce clear and concise written documentation and create SOPs.
  • AI Proficiency: Aptitude for leveraging generative AI tools, such as Gemini, to streamline common HR and administrative tasks.
  • Relationship Building: Proficient at quickly developing and sustaining close working relationships with users and vendor partners.
  • Requirements Gathering: Excellent requirements gathering skills to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walkthroughs with the staff performing the process.
  • Prioritization: Ability to prioritize, schedule, and complete development and testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules. Ability to apply prudent program development and testing practices consistently.
