The primary objective of the ENG Market Director is driving profitable, scalable growth within a defined geographic territory by building market density, deepening client penetration, expanding strategic verticals, and elevating sales and delivery execution through local sales that continuously increase Randstad’s market share. 

This leader owns P&L performance, regional sales and recruitment strategy, people development and leadership, and client lifecycle management across temp and perm engineering staffing engagements.  They will lead an integrated team of Client Development Managers/Account Managers, Talent Solutions Managers/Recruiters, and Search Consultants to create a high-performance culture centered on specialization, candidate experience, and client engagement.  

They must demonstrate strong business acumen, talent development capabilities, and the ability execute a field playbook that increases market share, strengthens client partnerships, and builds a consistent and sustainable growth engine across the region.

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the team, driving productivity and profitability.
  • Lead, engage, develop and grow account teams, holding others accountable, having coaching conversations, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring Individual Development Plans are in place.
  • Foster seamless collaboration between sales and delivery to improve candidate pipeline quality, best-in-class fill ratio’s, and client satisfaction.
  • Design and execute a sales strategy focused on building regional density, new logo capture, wallet share expansion within energy, EPC, advanced manufacturing, automation, robotics, and other technical market segments.
  • Drive personal GP generation through segment orders while leading the team to achieve collective revenue, gross margin, and market-level financial objectives.
  • Leverage community relationships and existing talent pipelines to identify emerging market opportunities and position the organization as a thought leader in industry trends.
  • Foster strategic alliances and build collaborative relationships with internal leaders and other LOBs for cross selling opportunities
  • Understand the market and manage relationships with current clients to identify future needs and provide thought leadership to assist in their daily operations.
  • Make decisions regarding hiring, placement, and discipline of talent.
  • Support client operations by providing top quality service and promptly investigate any talent issues or client concerns. Negotiate candidate pay rates and client bill rates.
  • Consistent ongoing interaction with placed Talent to ensure satisfaction with the position and identify additional opportunities with clients and/or future redeployment or placement opportunities for talent.

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of staffing industry experience with a focus on driving sales and managing high-performing teams.
  • Deep expertise and market knowledge within the EPC, advanced manufacturing, and energy sectors is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams, with a track record of growing market share and providing clear evidence of the professional advancement of direct reports.
  • possesses an unsurpassed level of professionalism and the ability to communicate at all levels of a client organization while effectively managing and resolving complex situations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to present business reviews and workforce strategies to client groups.
