The senior manager, internal communications at Randstad North America delivers messaging and experiences that will support our employees through one of the most exciting times in our company’s history. A key member of the Corporate Affairs team, this role is critical in the delivery of Randstad’s Partner for Talent strategy via the function’s core purpose: protecting & building Randstad’s reputation and fostering positive conditions for growth.
As a communications expert and people manager, this leader is responsible for the operation and delivery of the North America (US + Canada) employee communications agenda in support of the business and people strategies, driving employee engagement and positive employee sentiment and culture. This role is fast paced and highly visible, aligning local and global communication objectives. To be successful in this role, you should be a strategic thinker with a business mindset and have excellent stakeholder management and organizational skills.

- Lead employee communication efforts across the US and Canada, supporting concurrent projects and ensuring messages and timing aligns with regional business priorities, our global Partner for Talent strategy, and Together We Grow employee value proposition. Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders in order to deliver the best employee-centric communication solutions. Ensure that key strategic messages from leadership are effectively cascaded throughout the organization. Success is measured through Strategy scores in our quarterly employee satisfaction survey.
- Act as a trusted advisor and leader to the business on communication opportunities and challenges. Enable consistent change & transformation communication narratives, collaborating with the Transformation Office to create engaging campaigns and manager cascades. Success is measured through Transformation & Change scores in our quarterly employee satisfaction survey.
- Lead a small team of communication professionals, set objectives, and foster professional development. Encourage innovative communication methods, including the creative use of AI. Work on-site in the Atlanta corporate office 2-3 days per week alongside the Atlanta-based corporate affairs and marketing team members, and key executives.
- Drive awareness and engagement with CSR, Sustainability & Equity initiatives and programs, supporting our Employee Resource Groups and other stakeholders in this space. Integrate these essential activities into our overall employee communications roadmap. Success is measured through overall Engagement scores in our quarterly employee satisfaction survey, and employee Volunteer Hours tracked per year.
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience.
- 7+ years of experience Building communication strategies and plans that drive positive outcomes for engagement levels and support a culture conducive to business growth.
- 5+ years experience Developing or orchestrating communication plans for complex messages, transformative change initiatives, organizational restructures, M&A activity, etc.
- 4+ years of People management experience: Leading a communications team; preferably while working within a multinational, matrixed organization.
- 4+ years of experience Delivering best-in-class events, creating, coordinating, and delivering compelling leader and employee conferences.
- 2+ years of experience Engaging and influencing executive teams, providing counsel and practical communications solutions to protect the company’s brand and uphold its values to all stakeholders.
- Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
- Leadership experience within Communications or Corporate affairs, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Change communications: the ability to craft communication plans for complex messages, transformative change initiatives, organizational restructures, M&A activity, etc.
- Employee engagement: experience using employee and leadership communications as strategic levers that play a vital role in driving engagement, strengthening culture and reinforcing the company’s EVP to create clarity, belief, and action among employees.
- Ability to engage and influence executives, providing counsel and practical communications solutions to support business priorities.
- Experienced in delivering best-in-class events, creating, coordinating, and delivering compelling leader and employee conferences (approx 2 per year)
- An excellent planner who knows how to run concurrently with multiple projects and activities, with pressure and deadlines, with a strong motivation to deliver high quality.
- Interest in workplace-related topics, including AI & the digitization of work, leadership, culture, equity, health and well-being.
- Fluent English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable hosting and facilitating large meetings.
