how you will contribute
The Head of Franchise Development and Growth drives top-line revenue expansion by leading strategic sales, territory resales, and franchisee acquisition initiatives to scale the organizational footprint across North America. Reporting directly to the President, this role establishes department KPIs, mentors a high-performing sales and marketing team, and builds broker partnerships to position Spherion/Randstad as a premier professional services franchisor.
your typical day includes
On a typical day, you will guide prospective franchise candidates through discovery days and FDD execution, analyze lead generation metrics to shorten sales cycle velocity, and align with executive leaders to accelerate franchisee speed-to-revenue. Operating in a hybrid model (in office at least 2 days per week), you will actively mentor your team and collaborate with external broker networks to maintain a robust, high-converting deal pipeline.
your responsibilities include
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing franchise sales and marketing team to achieve annual unit growth and revenue targets.
- Oversee end-to-end franchise sales processes, including candidate qualification, discovery days, legal disclosure compliance (FDD), and agreement execution to optimize conversion rates.
- Structure and execute franchise resale strategies to facilitate seamless operational transitions from retiring franchisees to qualified new buyers.
- Formulate multi-unit expansion programs and incentive models to convert existing single-unit operators into multi-unit franchise owners.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with franchise brokers, internal talent acquisition teams, and industry influencers to expand high-intent candidate channels.
- Analyze pipeline data and operational workflows to reduce cycle times between candidate inquiries and initial unit revenue generation.
- Provide strategic performance updates and sales activity reports to the Franchise Division President to ensure organizational alignment and financial accountability.
your background
- Demonstrate 10+ years of executive sales leadership experience within multi-unit franchised organizations to scale regional footprint and system revenue.
- Apply deep knowledge of franchise law, legal disclosure protocols (FDD), and multi-unit business models to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Utilize financial acumen and business evaluation skills to assess candidate viability and execute complex franchise financing structures.
- Leverage executive-level communication and relationship-building abilities to influence prospective buyers, internal stakeholders, and external broker networks.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Certified Franchise Executive designation preferred).
- Collaborate across hybrid office settings at least 2 days per week to align team operations and drive organizational growth initiatives.

Pay Rate: $172,000.00 - $258,000.00 Annually
Randstad offers competitive pay and bonus structures. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Based on eligibility, a successful candidate's total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and/or commission(s). In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
