The primary objective of the OTS Ind VP, Practice Lead STIM is to lead and expand the STIM business within OTS local and inhouse. This role involves establishing best practices for permanent recruitment, client acquisition, and business development. Key responsibilities include driving revenue growth by building and motivating local field teams, overseeing operational excellence, and contributing to the company's strategic financial and market presence. The VP Practice Leader, Direct Hire will partner with diverse stakeholders to design and implement consistent training programs and materials that align with the organizational vision and core values, incorporating key principles of permanent hire education and professional staffing techniques. A top priority for this role is to connect the impact of successful permanent placements to performance KPIs, such as revenue, gross margin growth, new client growth, and profit. This role requires extensive travel, must have a proven track record of building high-performing teams, scaling business units, and fostering a growth-oriented, service-driven culture within the staffing industry.

What you get to do:

  • Guide and mentor STIM teams, providing insights, direction, and motivation to achieve performance goals. This includes acting as a subject matter expert in STIM strategy.
  • Develop and implement nationwide STIM strategies and internal hiring profiles to increase revenue and market share.
  • Design operational frameworks to ensure a sustainable, consistent, and coherent talent and client experience
  • Audit the execution of business strategy, concepts, and results of field teams.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure our go-to-market strategy, value proposition, and brand align with business segmentation and principles
  • Partner with SBO and field leadership to maintain top-notch STIM training and reporting including:
  • Designing and executing the learning and development of STIM onboarding & continuous improvement
  • Developing, implementing, and auditing key performance indicators for the direct hire strategy to operational excellence
  • Monitoring the fiscal aspects of training, including the ROI of programs in meeting or exceeding budget standards.
  • Directly responsible for the continued growth of skilled trade; and drives the sales effort with continual contact and face to face meetings with Sr. level executives.
  • Working with field teams to identify and pursue new client & existing opportunities to build strong client relationships and drive revenue, increasing margins and STIM fees.
  • Understand financial models and trends to train field leaders in achieving and exceeding permanent placement budgets and growing headcount.
  • Conduct hands-on business development training for STIM teams, including:
  • Sourcing and initial client qualification
  • Identifying decision-makers and establishing contact
  • Initiating database/sales territory strategic discussions
  • Developing candidate marketing
  • Negotiating rates and fees
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities
  • Scheduling and conducting new client visits (virtual & local)
  • Collaborating in team selling activities

What you need to bring:

  • High School or GED required
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • 10 years of industry experience
  • 5 years of demonstrated success in skilled trade direct hire recruiting and business development
  • Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
  • Charisma able to effectively motivate and influence constituents and colleagues
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset are a must
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-pace environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify customers and to deliver, decline, or adjust expectations
  • Must be innovative in approach, willing to take risks and operate successfully in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to present business reviews and workforce strategies to client groups
  • Must be comfortable presenting to and influencing Sr. level management
  • Unsurpassed level of professionalism and ability to communicate to all levels
