The Associate Legal Specialist will provide diverse support with routine legal tasks that evenly span multiple legal job families. This role may help ensure that the organization, its employees and its projects comply with all relevant regulations and specifications.Additional duties will also incorporate preparing and updating case reporting and data bases, as well as assessing, preparing and filing PERM labor Certifications (including prevailing wage determinations, recruitment, ETA 9089, Audits, etc) under Attorney supervision.

What you get to do:

  • Performs administrative tasks to support (commercial) legal activities, including scheduling meetings and the preparation of basic legal documents and correspondence. May create reports and presentations related to compliance issues and progress.
  • Assists with preparing negotiations and closing transactions. May assists in research and communication of compliance implications of new developments.
  • Provides logistical and administrative support for legal disputes, litigation or regulatory proceedings including compliance.
  • Provides support in the drafting, reviewing and management of (commercial) contracts under the guidance of senior legal professionals.
  • Participates in internal and external meetings as necessary, providing administrative support and preparing meeting notes.
  • Assists in the preparation and formatting of legal documents, correspondence and reports, ensuring they comply with organizational templates and guidelines.
  • May assist in investigations and assessments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

What you need to bring:

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working as a paralegal or assistant in a law firm, business immigration practice group
  • Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
  • Experience preparing and filing PERM labor certifications at a high volume.
  • Understanding of PERM in the context of business immigration, including nonimmigrant and immigrant case processing.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, organization, attention to detail, analytical abilities in identifying issues and comparing data, and abilities in multitasking.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working remotely.
