DUTIES: Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, coaching, and support for a team of data scientists and data analysts. Perform basic data science and data analytics tasks. Define, prioritize, and monitor tasks of managed individual contributors. Be responsible for the processes of solutioning and monitoring production-scale data science and analytical solutions. Communicate with supervisors and business leaders who may not have strong data analytics or statistical backgrounds. Evaluate performance, execution, and contribution of managed team. Attract, retain, and develop talent to build an effective and high performing team. Prioritize and assign projects by striking balance between a variety of factors, including funding, return on investment, and innovative or challenging work. Collaborate with program managers and business partners to align on objectives and expectations, ensuring project teams deliver against them. Serve as escalation point for any issues or difficulties with specific projects. Troubleshoot high complexity problems and provide guidance to navigate similar issues in the future. Be responsible for enhancements and modifications to existing systems and built-in procedures. Build and design complex data science/data analytical solutions with large volumes of data, using a wide variety of database applications and analytical tools including SQL and Python. Be responsible for data cleansing, data validation, and data testing.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Data Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field required. Seven years of experience required in job offered or related position in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence. Seven years of experience required with database systems, including BigQuery, Oracle, Elastic Search, and SQL Server. Seven years of experience required with programming languages SQL and Python. Four years of experience required with generating reports using Google Sheets, Google Studio, and Tableau. Four years of experience required with applying software engineering best practices, including code version systems, code structures, and model deployments. Four years of experience required working with cloud technologies, including GCP, AWS, and Azure. Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
