Vice President, Executive Strategic Accounts

Vice President, Executive Strategic Accounts (ESA) Randstad, the world’s leading talent company, is hiring a Vice President, Executive Strategic Accounts (ESA). The Vice President is a tactical visionary responsible for leading a high-performing team of Strategic Account Directors to drive aggregate revenue and Gross Margin (GM) expansion across all Randstad lines of business. In this role, you will bridge strategic leadership with hands-on execution, managing a key enterprise portfolio while serving as an executive sponsor at the C-suite level for top client organizations.

You will collaborate closely with Strategic Account Directors, Randstad Concept Leaders, Operating Companies, Vertical Lines of Business, and C-Suite Client Stakeholders to maximize revenue, optimize profitability, and foster an environment of continuous growth and top-talent development.

What you get to do:

  • Revenue, GM Leadership & Operational Planning: Lead, mentor, and accountability-manage a team of Strategic Account Directors driving revenue and Gross Margin (GM) growth across all Randstad lines of business. Formulate, execute, and monitor annual budgets and operational plans to ensure short- and long-term targets are met.
  • C-Suite Engagement & Personal Portfolio: Lead by example by managing a select personal portfolio of key enterprise accounts. Engage directly at the C-suite level (CEOs, CHROs, Procurement, CIOs) in top accounts to establish Randstad as a premier strategic talent and workforce partner.
  • Retention & Development of Key Performers: Champion a culture of high performance and continuous learning. Prioritize retaining, coaching, and developing top talent, establishing clear pathways for advancement and internal growth across the account director team.
  • Cross-Functional & Multi-Line Integration: Cultivate cross-functional collaboration across Randstad concepts, Operating Companies, and vertical lines of business to identify growth opportunities, expand Randstad usage, and cross-sell solutions.
  • Governance & Risk Control: Maintain business controls and contract oversight to satisfy audit standards, protect profitability levels (including GM% thresholds and SUI/FUI recovery), and safeguard customer and company assets.
  • Performance & Financial Tracking: Track, analyze, and communicate performance metrics against budgeted targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence, maintaining an optimal Direct Contribution / Indirect Cost (IDC) ratio.

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise account management or sales leadership in the staffing and workforce solutions industry
  • 7+ years of people management experience with proven success building budgets, executing operating plans, and driving revenue/GM results
  • Strategic Leadership & Enablement: Proven background in coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing teams while personally managing C-suite client relationships and driving team productivity
  • Track Record of Exceeding Targets: Demonstrated ability to simultaneously achieve personal portfolio KPIs and inspire a team to overachieve collective performance goals
  • Financial Acumen & P&L Management: Demonstrated experience establishing annual budgets, tracking financial operational plans, and managing P&L goals across complex service lines
  • Executive Presence & Analytical Acumen: Superior communication and negotiation capabilities with enterprise C-suite clients, alongside analytical skill to evaluate GM%, pricing models, and operational effectiveness

Pay Rate: $172,000.00 - $258,000.00 Annually

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Based on eligibility, a successful candidate's total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and/or commission(s). In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
